Below you
will find an example of one of our many Thrill Seeking adventures:
Maasailand Walking Safari and Kilimanjaro Climbing
We have experienced that the combination of a walking safari and Kilimanjaro
climbing can form an active and effective adventure.
Before we send our Thrill Seeking clients directly to the highest
Mountain in Africa, we suggest a period of acclimatization and sightseeing,
followed by an intense and physical walking safari, in order for them
to build up enough stamina for the big climb. The location of the
walking safari can vary depending on the season, the immediate weather
conditions, the age of the travelers etc.
Maasailand:
For any adventure you are expecting in Africa, this is the right place.
Maasailand is full of culture, adventure, wildlife, and breathtaking
landscapes, all perfect for the traveler who is willing to fully experience
it. No matter which part of Maasailand you visit and explore, you
will leave knowing that you have seen the true Africa.
Mount Kilimanjaro:
Kilimanjaro is a metaphor for the compelling beauty of Africa. When
you see it, you understand why. Rising in absolute isolation, at 5895
meter (19336 feet), Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain
and one of the world’s most accessible high summits, a beacon
for visitors from around the world.
Those who reach Uhuru point, the actual summit, or Gilman’s
Point on the lip of the crater, will have earned their climbing certificate
and memories to last a lifetime.
There is much more to Kilimanjaro than her summit. A journey up her
slopes takes you on a climatic world tour, from the tropics to the
arctic. The grassy and cultivated lower slopes turn into lush rainforest,
inhabited by elusive elephant, leopard, buffalo and antelope. Higher
still, heath and moorland, covered with giant heathers, becomes surreal
alpine desert and finally, ice, snow complete the magnificent beauty
of the continent.
There are six common trekking routes to the summits, with campsites
for the wilderness route of Rongai, Mweka, Umbwe, Machame and Londorosi
and accommodation in hut stations on the Marangu route.

Expedition Maasailand |
|
|
|
Each
year Maasailand Explorer creates a new and unique safari program
in a special area of the country that combines our philosophy and
the image of Tanzania that we want our clients to experience. This
year, we have chosen this virtually untouched area of Northern Maasailand.
The majority of Tanzania’s most famous national parks happen
to be in this very area. Wildlife roams both inside and outside
the parks. Apart from wildlife viewing, this part of the country
is rich in culture, intriguing people and breathtaking landscapes.
We welcome you to join us for this special limited edition expedition
that will take place for only one season this year. The dates are
specific to the wildebeest migration, which just this year was named
one of the great wonders of the world. Expedition 2007 begins November
19th and runs until February 22nd, 2008.
Space is limited. Book early. For further information contact us
